Destination Finders International — Trip Cancellation Policy

Why this matters: We pre-pay airlines, hotels, and local partners to lock in your one-of-a-kind itinerary. When plans change, we chase down every possible refund or credit for you. The timing of your cancellation determines our fee.

How to cancel

  1. Email buyandsellwithapril@gmail.com with “Cancellation – [Trip Name & Dates]” in the subject line.

  2. We’ll timestamp that email; the timestamp sets your fee tier.

  3. We’ll contact every supplier to recover what we can (refunds, credits, vouchers).

Fee tiers (calculated on the gross trip cost):
30–15 days’ notice: 25 % cancellation fee. Eligible recovered funds are refunded minus the 25 %.
14–8 days’ notice: 50 % cancellation fee. Eligible recovered funds are refunded minus the 50 %.
7 days or fewer: 100 % cancellation fee. No refund—most suppliers are non-refundable inside a week.

Important notes

  • Recovered funds = any money, credits, or vouchers suppliers return to us on your behalf.

  • Third-party terms always apply; if a supplier marks something non-refundable, we can’t override it (but we’ll still negotiate for credits).

  • Swapping travelers or shifting dates is often cheaper than canceling—ask us first.

  • In force-majeure events (government bans, natural disasters, etc.), we only charge our lowest tier (25 %) to cover admin time.
